Support the Site

Vacation Point Exchange has been running since 2012. Browsing, searching and contacting sellers has been free for that entire time, and it will stay that way.

What pays for the site: the one-time $75 Verified Seller fee. That covers hosting, the domain registration and email, the security and software the site runs on, and the identity verification service that checks every seller’s government-issued ID. There is no advertising and no outside funding.

Why is there a Support the Site page?

For the first decade there was no fee at all, and a number of people asked whether they could put something back for the value they had gotten out of the site. This page is that option, kept open. It has never been necessary and it still is not. The verification fee continues to cover the running costs.

What a contribution does and does not do

A contribution is voluntary and gets you nothing in return. It is not a fee, it does not buy Verified Seller status, it does not affect where your ad appears, and it has no bearing on how a dispute is handled. Nothing on this site works differently for someone who has contributed.

If you are a seller, the $75 verification fee is the only payment this site asks of anyone. See the Verified Seller FAQ.

How to contribute

Chooses any amount, payable by card. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe so this site never sees your card details.

If you would like to be listed on the contributors page, include the your username you would like shown. If you would rather not be listed leave the field blank.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed — and to everyone who has reported a scammer or otherwise looked out for other owners. That has kept this place useful far more than money has.
