Hello,My wife and I this past summer fell in love with the Desert Ridge Villas while we were out staying at the J.W. Marriott in Scottsdale, AZ. We now own 6,500 points and are waiting for our bonus points to be deposited by May of this year, another 6,500. I am now kicking myself realizing there is an aftermarket resale way to buy these points, but I don't think we will fret too much after our first stay....we are thinking about Orlando in July time-frame at either Grande Vista or Lakeshore Reserve or Cypress Harbour, and I think we will be heading to Williamsburg in June for a long weekend. My wife has traveled in past lives with her work and used Marriott quite a bit, and we have never had a bad stay experience with their brand...knock on wood. My wife and I are in our early 40's, and we have a daughter who is nearly 11. Should be great as we get older and can target our points usage at non-peak times....Scott

Scott,Welcome to VPE and welcome to Marriott timeshare ownership.  Many people purchased directly from the Developer for their first timeshare and we have all learned to love our ownership.  There is alot you can do with your 6,500 Trust Points -- please also visit TUG to learn more about Marriott too. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, and I hope that you find the board useful. All the best,Greg

Welcome to VPE.  If you ever need more than your 6500 for your vacation, know that you can always rent here.  But also remember that you can borrow up to 25 months in advance as well.
