Hi Everyone, new here but not fully new to Time Shares.  It may take me time to learn the lingo and abbreviations but I will figure it out.  I do all of the family vacation planning (destination planning) and my family then decides what we actually do…it works for us!We own Marriott Vacation Club properties and points:Marriott at DisneyLand Paris, every other year (2BR/2B) since 2008Marriott Surf Club Aruba, every year (2BR/2B, Garden View, Gold) since 2012Marriott Trust Points, 2500 points since 2013I have enjoyed my Marriott stays.  Not really interested in bashing the program.  I knew what I was getting and decided that it was for me.  We love Aruba.  I have been there twice and my wife has been ther 4 times.  We lived in the UK for 2 years and consider ourselves european travelers more than US travelers.  Future travel plans are as follows:2014 - Wales and Northern Ireland2015 - Aruba...2016 - AustraliaHope to learn from the board.  I know the scammer message says to beware of new posters who offer up points.  Well, you need to start somewhere!  I hope to contribute where I can but I will be selling and buying points along the way.Nice to meet everyone!Bill

Welcome.  Time sharing is great if you learn how to maximize it.  When I bought my first one, I knew a little but I have learned so much more from others.  My biggest regret is paying developer pricing but that has been offset by the fabulous vacations that we have taken over the past 6 years. I figure that if I take 10 more years of awesome vacations I will break even on my developer pricing, including all MFs paid, based on retail pricing.  The points program has enhanced my trips now that I'm no longer required to take only 7 day vacations.  --Sent using Tapatalk
