      Thank you for putting up this great site, so much useful information resources for MVC owners!! I just converted from week owner to point system after I spent months trying to understand pros & cons between the 2 systems and you have to agree its more complex than many projects that I worked before 🙂  Anyhow I have 2 properties in Timber-Lodge S Lake Tahoe both platinum weeks that gives me Platinum status in DC.  Before this I always traded in unused weeks with Reward points for their hotels which something I will be miss now but hope with other features will make up the lose.       Ray,Welcome to VPE and I hope that you have also found Timeshare Users Group (tug2.net).  Both can be very useful, and I'm glad that you are here.I like points and I like my traditional weeks too (and I like my other timeshares) so between the combination, it has been terrific!Best,Greg

      Greetings neighbor!  I'm an owner at the Marriott Grand Residence Club Lake Tahoe.    Frankly, I'm a bit disappointed at the point value I get from a Marriott Rewards exchange on my unit at the GRCLT.  It is nice to have a bank of MR points available, but they have really devalued the program (in my opinion.)For example, one week of my 1-bedroom at the GRCLT can be traded for 100,000 MR points.  However, a 1-bedroom at the Timberlodge during that same time rents for 45,000 points per night.  So, seems like Marriott is making out like a bandit on that trade... 🙂
