I traded in my deeded BB week last year and received 4200 points to use in 2016.  I currently have 1075 points left and want to make a reservation in May that costs 2200 points – meaning I need 1125 points transferred from another member.  What kind of points should I be looking for in the classified?  I see lots of terms, but I want to make sure I get the kind of point that I will be able to use throughout 2016.Thanks for any advice!David

Legacy/Trust points will work for you as long as they are transferable.  They are transferable as long as they have not been banked or transferred previously.

I would rent Legacy points if I were you since your remaining points are Legacy points. Each night of a ressie needs to be booked with either Trust or Legacy points. Both can be combined in a given ressie, but each night has to be one or the other. By renting Legacy points, you are assured of no surprises when you go to book the ressie.

Thanks for that head's up, Fasttr.  Good to know that a full night's rate in points must be either legacy or trust, but not both.    Nobody wants leftovers that we'd need to scramble to match up to use.  So, are there increments that must be adhered to in the transfer process?  Can you transfer any increment of ~25 points or is it in other increments (100, 200, 500 etc.)?  Thanks again.

I believe you can transfer any quantity of points and that it does not even need to be in increments of 25.  It's certainly cleaner transferring increments of 25, but we are starting to see odd number of points (I have 795 points right now) so really any quantity is transferable.I'm glad you like the site.Best,Greg

Greg and Tommy, I recently learned that for transferring purposes the points must be done in increments of 25. I tried to transfer 15 points to another owner and it couldn't be done.  This only applies when transferring points to other accounts. For other matters there are no point increment rules.
