Actually OP is correct.I was offered a week at my home club. The maintenance is $1400.It takes 1950 points to secure that week with the destination club.Even at .60 cents a point--which is the high range--it would cost $1170 to rent that unit. Why would I want to purchase a week and than pay more very year to rent it??Some say for convenience but in reality the weeks are easy to come by, there is no convenience.
If you are a Trust points owner in the club, your maintenance fees on 1950 points would only be around $850. You seem to be comparing your fees for your owned week and trying to compare that to what it would cost to rent 1950 points here to secure that same week. Seems you are comparing different things in an attempt to prove your point.
