Places to shop for groceriesIF you have a military ID consider the military commissary. Prices are much lower than other stores on the island. IT is not inside the military base, so you don't have to go through the post sentry, but every person who goes in the store must have a military ID.They are very coupon friendly. Yes I look through my coupons before I go to see what I might use. Of course they have lots of things besides groceries, but the grocery store is extensive. There is also a military gas station nearby. THis is very convenient to fill up your rental on the way back to the airport. The closest large grocery store I know is 2 exits east off the Farrington Hwy. It is a safeway.We are usually worn out by the plane trip and don't do a big shopping until the next day, but even stopping and getting breakfast stuff at the safeway is good. Shopping at the market here can cost $30 easy for not much.Where is your favorite spot to shop.
