Re: Re: Kauai Lagoons
Just got back from 9 days there. The units are extraordinary – Large, high end appliances, furniture etc. Decks are huge – off living room with 5-window sliding door – opens completely – sun shines right into living room at cocktail time. Handle the doors carefully – they are really too heavy for their frames and hinges – but an engineer, on site until 8:00 PM, is very familiar with necessary repairs and can close them in case you cannot.Island or Garden view is 1 and 2nd floor. Ocean View is 3rd and 4th floor. Ocean Front, I think, is 3rd and 4th floor of A building only. There are 4 or 5 buildings. A is the most north (or east) building and closest to Ocean - but the others have very much the same view with more grassy building sites, dormant Ritz Carlton construction, before ocean. I don't think there is a bad outlook from any unit. In the future, the building sites will become roofs and condos to look over - just grass today.Pool is centered in front of Building C - reception area. Well maintained barbecues are more in front of Building B - so a long hike from Building D. Excellent workout room and activity center behind Building A.You will need a car. We have seen the whole island many times, so tried doing without for 6 days. Not good. Yes, the shuttle will take you down(and back) to golf, the Beach Club (Dukes, Portofino's, etc.) and the airport. 15 minute walk to Beach Club. 45 minute walk to car rentals at airport. All of the people were terrific. Unit was ready in the morning (not 4PM). Not very busy.
